- Donisha Prendergast and other supporters are occupying a tabernacle - a Rastafarian place of worship - near the village established by Leonard P Howell in the 1930s, according to the Jamaica Gleaner.
The campaign wants the property - a hilltop called The Pinnacle west of the capital, Kingston - to belong to the Howell family and the community.
Eritrea is the kind of a place where protest songs don't go viral every day. It is one of Africa's smallest and most tightly-controlled states. Yet a track named Hadnetna (or "Our Unity") now has over 100,000 clicks. The artist behind the track is Yohannes "Wedi" Tikabo, and while his song sounds gentle and lilting, his words are not.
"A friend wrote me an email saying, 'I keep listening to your songs and it makes me a little sad because I can see this is really how you feel,'" the singer confesses. "But that was honestly the biggest compliment I got.
"For me, if I'm watching something that someone else has done, the times when I get most affected are when I feel 'this is so personal that no-one else would have been able to do it'".
"That's where art can really make a change. You want to make something that's not only for yourself, but can actually make people feel less lonely. That mends something, or offers some type of relief."
Their evidence was "bereft of coherence, riddled with lies, incoherent and contradictory", he said.
On Mr Jacobs' decision not to go into the witness box, he asked: "Why should he answer?"
Of how the jury should treat the rap poem, Mr Griffiths said: "Bob Marley wrote I Shot The Sheriff but I have not heard of him being put on trial for murder."
The case continues.
The Mandela family had to cope with a double strain through the long years of Nelson's imprisonment - dealing with its own private distress, while trying to maintain a defiant yet dignified public face in the anti-apartheid struggle. My relationship with the Mandelas began much earlier, and it had little to do with politics.
In the 1980s, while Nelson Mandela was serving his life sentence on Robben Island, we were roaming the streets of South Africa's largest township Soweto, his shadow looming large over us.
No-one dared mention his name but we were all constantly thinking about him.
Soweto is an apartheid creation, a cluster of mini townships.

He added: "It smacks of social cleansing and I think Camden is a unique and wonderful borough and actually it needs to keep its uniqueness rather than airbrush over it and to clean it out."
Thomas said the council did not need to introduce a new law, but should instead set up a forum whereby the entertainers, business owners and residents could get together and work out any problems.
"I totally accept there'll be occasions when it's too loud; totally accept there'll be occasions when it's inappropriate, but you just get a method of good practice.
A quarter-acre plot on The Pinnacle has been declared a national monument, the Jamaica Observer says. But the campaign is calling for the whole area to be preserved.
The dispute over ownership on The Pinnacle has been the subject of long-running controversy, with Howell's descendants fighting court cases against local developers.
Leonard P Howell established the Rastafari village in the 1930s but it was destroyed in 1953 Howell's son, Monty, says papers proving the family's ownership of the land were destroyed during the 1930s and 1940s because the island's then-colonial authorities thought it "presumptuous" for Howell to own it.
One of those commenting on YouTube calls him the "Bob Marley of Eritrea" and "the voice of the people". Another writes: "If this does not wake our people, I really don't know what will."
Yohannes is well-known in Eritrea, but what makes this video all the more surprising is that he was once more famous as a nationalist. His songs were widely used as an inspiration for Eritrean troops during the two-year border war with Ethiopia, but he recently joined the thousands of Eritreans who flee the country every year.
